The Seasons

The idea for The Seasons collection comes from two central principles of the brand’s identity:

  • First, bringing together elements that shouldn’t work—but do.

  • Second, celebrating the rhythm and meaning of the seasons.

Each year, the seasons arrive and leave in steady cadence. They carry familiar traits—some that oppose and some that complement each other. Yet, no two years are the same. Some springs are warmer, some summers stretch past the UK’s usual two weeks. Some winters chill us deeper than others.

But each season feeds the next. Winter teaches us to appreciate summer. It forces us to take stock and come together. Spring brings new life, fresh shoots, and a recharged soil. Then come the harvests. Summer lifts us into the high point of the calendar. Autumn gently lowers us back down—preparing us for winter again.

There’s a plan—a sequence to it all.

We align our lives with the seasons. We change our clothes, prep our homes, adapt our moods. We skip to training in spring sunshine, or huddle under thick coats after winter sessions, rushing from gym to the warmth of home.

That relationship reflects the brand. The seasons form the current we live within—but the highlight is how we, as humans, respond to them.

Each colourway in this collection represents not just a season, but the balance we try to find within it:

Winter: Deep red for the warmth of a fireplace, the blast of heat from a supermarket doorway, the pub window dripping with condensation. Blue for the sharp intake of icy air, the cold that sends us wrapping up, the frozen pavement we scuttle across to reach the next pocket of warmth.

Spring: Born from winter’s chill, this set channels the soil waking from sleep—new shoots pushing up, the earth flexing back into life. A familiar idea, yes—but deeply layered. That first stretch after winter is one of spring’s most powerful moments.

Summer: The peak of the cycle. The season at its most vibrant. Pink for sunburnt skin, the flush of joy at long sunlit gatherings. Cream for sunscreen, ice cream, china plates scattered with fruit, sandwiches, pastries, and sweets. A canvas for joy.

Autumn: The end of summer feels heavy. Rain falls. Leaves decay. The colours of sunset coat the ground, trying to soften the loss with their beauty. Our palette captures summer’s brightness as it fades, returning to the soil through a golden lens.

That—and the colours look cool.

Love,
BG
